Welcome to LanditRC
We are pleased you have chosen to visit us in 'virtual-land' and hope to impress you with lots of interesting stuff about model engineering & flight. Have a look around, see what we do, maybe we'll see you at a club night in the near future.
A vision by two model enthusiasts, the LanditRC model club has become a local hot-spot for other like-minded people who want to do more in the fascinating field of model engineering and flight.
Co-founded by Mark Holmes and Ricky West, the club has grown from April 2014 with just 12 members, into a model flying club with new members joining almost every month.
It's more than just model flying, a lot more!
Our members enjoy numerous events and challenges in addition to various projects and activities with a modelling and flight theme.
All our members would tell you the same, they have a great time learning about the hobby and putting into practice their new-found knowledge.
About Landit RC
Club meetings are held in the Soundwell area of Bristol
Our indoor venue is perfect for flying micro helicopters and small multi-rotor models.
Drop us a line and we can give you directions to find us.
With a number of events and projects to keep our members busy, we also have flight training sessions to help with successful model control and improved coordination. We see all our members gain confidence with their models, resulting in better performance and less down-time due to crashes.
Below are some videos from our younger pilots with their FPV freestyle and racing quads showcased on their own YouTube channel 'Crash-it FPV'. If you are willing to be taken on a wild ride then these videos will be just up your street!!!
There's a lot to learn about RC model flight, our learning programmes aim to help with understanding the basics, so our members are able to get the best from the hobby and their model flying experience.
Relatively new to the RC model scene, these range in size from a pocket-sized model that you really could fly in your bathroom, to large multi-rotor platforms with the capacity to provide photo/video footage.
Model helicopter flying is very satisfying. It does take a little work to master, and there are various types from basic models to get you started, through to complex 3D models that can fly like they are defying gravity !
